We are a husband and wife team, professional qualified and experienced. We have been making images now for many years, working from our studio in Crawley Down, West Sussex.
VisualChaos Studios, our parent company, was set up back in 2000 by me and my wife Sarah. While we had other business interests at the time, we were looking to leave these behind and focus all our professional time in photography. I had personally wanted to work solely in the photography business for some time; it was just a case of choosing the right moment.
My professional photographic career started at the tender age of 13 when I won my first commission to photograph an art collection by a local artist. It paid £50 which was reasonable money for an ambition 13 year old in 1978. I have continued to take pictures ever since, and quite simply, I couldn't be happier!
I am professionally qualified with the British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP) and the Society of Wedding & Portrait Photographers (SWPP), and also the Masters Photographer Association (MPA), although I have recently decided to give up my membership of the MPA in favour of the other two associations - three was too many.
We moved into our new and exciting studio in August 2007. It was a building we had our eye on for some time, in fact over 10 years – you can take a look for yourself by clicking the link below. We don't work out of the studio on a daily basis so visiting is by appointment only, but we use it to shoot all kinds or portraiture, including families, kids, expectant mothers, pets, right the way through to models/actors and boudoir makeovers - which this site is dedicated to - chaosCONFIDENTIAL!
Over the years since 2000 we have created a reputation as leading contemporary photographers in the social arenas of weddings and portraits as well as commercial, corporate, event and PR. The vast majority of our business comes from client recommendations, as we strive to keep our business professional and competitive, but always friendly and personal - exactly what you would expect from a family owned and family run, people focused company.
For more information about us personally, check out my blog where there are pages dedicated to where we have been and where we are going, across all our photography services.
